How to Pair Your Summer Shoes

When it comes to summer shoes, there’s a lot more to style than just your favorite sandals. Here are some tips on how you can match your shoes with any outfit!

It’s the season for lakeside gatherings and beach-friendly vacations. Let’s hear it for cute summer shoes that can keep you comfortable and stylish while you explore new places.

As you head to the beach this summer, a strappy or thong sandal pairs perfectly with slick chino shorts, airy dresses, or breezy linen shirts.

For days of adventuring through a new city, a comfortable leather sneaker with arch support will give you the comfort, traction, and stamina you need to keep going all day.

When you’re ready to see the wildflowers in the mountains, an open-toed trail shoe for breathability or a closed-toe hiking shoe for protection can keep you comfy and cool even on the warmest of trails.

  • What shoes to wear during summer?

During the summer, it’s essential to choose shoes that offer comfort and breathability to keep your feet cool and prevent excessive sweating. Opt for styles that allow air circulation and minimize heat retention. Sandals are a popular choice for their open-toe design and lightweight construction, providing a comfortable and airy feel. Flip-flops are also commonly worn during casual outings or at the beach, offering convenience and ease of use.

If you prefer closed-toe shoes, go for sneakers made from breathable materials like mesh or canvas. These sneakers provide support and cushioning while allowing airflow to keep your feet comfortable. Slip-on shoes such as loafers or moccasins can also be a good option, especially when made from breathable materials like leather or fabric.

  • Can you wear closed toe shoes in the summer?

Absolutely! Closed-toe summer shoes can be a go-to during the summer months—especially when they feature breathable uppers and moisture-wicking lining. Closed-toe shoes also offer added protection from harsh summer sun, so you won’t have to worry about applying sunscreen to your toes!

  • What shoes do guys wear in the summer?

There are a variety of men’s summer shoes on the market today. Some of the best men’s shoes for summer include canvas boat shoes, thong sandals, and canvas or leather sneakers. Men’s casual summer shoes often feature a slip-on design for ease of use.

  • How do I store summer shoes in the winter?

Once it’s too cold to wear those summer shoes, you can store them up and away from dust and sunlight to help preserve them. Since moisture can degrade materials over time, just be sure to dry them thoroughly before putting them away.

Three Layers of Support

At KURU, we pride ourselves on our unique approach to shoe design. We believe that shoes should be shaped to fit the natural contours of your feet, which is why we create every pair in three distinct support layers, not just an insole.

Our revolutionary ergonomic design starts with a curved footbed and adds unparalleled triple-layer support that includes shock-absorbing KURUCLOUD, heel-cupping KURUSOLE, and arch-supporting ULTIMATE INSOLES. The result? Shoes that are so comfortable you’ll stop thinking about your feet.

  • How KURU brings relief

Our patented KURUSOLE plate features a unique design that cups and protects the heel and allows for dynamic flexion with each step. This superior support helps us use our body’s natural cushioning system, the heel’s fat pad, so you can experience all the summer has to offer with less pain.

My new KURU favorite. I now got an 4 pairs of these shoes-really supportive and nice looking flip flop. I have very flat feet and planter fasciitis and these really give me the level of comfort I want in a casual summer shoe.

Great arch and heel but support! My favorite summer shoes. I wear them everywhere. Look nice too.

Anticipated Comfort. Looking forward to experiencing the comfort this summer as we travel.

Great summer hiker. I’ve had several of these shoes before (and boots from other seasons) and I always come back to Chicanes when it is time to get new weekend shoes. This particular pair is great for summer, more breathable that the all leather ones I wear in winter/wet weather. I do light hiking and these have good traction for this and are comfortable to wear, keeps my heel from hurting. My go to weekend shoe.

Awesome summer shoe! I owned a black pair if these which I wore out (after a few years of use!). I bought this pair to replace them. I need the support these shoes have in a lightweight summer shoe. Sandals and flip flops can be the worst type of shoe to wear if you need any type of foot support – not these! Once these have been broken in and molded to your foot – best fit too!
