Senior Product Line Manager (PLM)

Job Description

As the Senior Product Line Manager (PLM) for KURU Footwear, you will partner with our Brand Director and Footwear Engineering and Design Teams to translate our product strategy into a product line that KURU customers love! You will own every decision and action to properly plan our product roadmap.

Line Management

  • Product Roadmapping. You will support the Brand Director to craft the Product Roadmap Vision. This includes translating data, market, and customer insights to build a line plan and communicate that plan across the organization.
  • Line Building. You will build a strategic line plan for our direct-to-consumer business model that meets the needs of our customers while achieving our Product Roadmap goals.
  • Competitive Analysis. You will benchmark KURU against competitors and other substitute products. You will share insights about the alternative products and solutions our target customers consider as part of their purchase journey to eliminate their foot pain and use these insights to create product briefs to create a product line offering that takes market share and grows our business.
  • KPIs and Goals. You will identify and define retail, margin, and volume goals across the line plan to support the company's financial goals.

This includes being resourceful in using our various data sources, market research, customer feedback, and more to develop a strong point of view, even when challenged by senior management.

  • Process Creation and Improvement. Some people love to build processes, maintain existing processes, while others love to optimize and improve what’s already in place. At KURU, you will do all three. You will drive improvement and cross-functional adoption of processes.
  • Project Management. You will hold teams accountable through a healthy meeting cadence and owning the Go To Market calendar to execute your line plan on time and on budget.
  • Market Trends. You have a knack for fashion and market trends, especially within the footwear category. You will develop a deep understanding of the KURU customer and identify which market trends are relevant to our customer segments. And use these to develop a strong point-of-view for the line plan.
  • Product Briefs. Create customer-first driven product briefs based on your own analysis of the data, market research, competitor analysis, customer insights, and category expertise.
