Managing Plantar Fasciitis

Besides wearing proper shoes, there are other ways to help with plantar fasciitis and keep your feet healthy. By incorporating these strategies into your daily routine, you can enhance the benefits of wearing comfortable shoes. This can ultimately lead to you feeling better in the long term.

  • Stretching and Exercise. Doing gentle stretches and foot exercises can make your feet stronger, more flexible, and reduce any pain you may have. This can also contribute to preventing future flare-ups of plantar fasciitis.

  • Weight Management. Maintaining a healthy weight through diet and exercise is crucial for reducing strain on the plantar fascia. Being overweight can make plantar fasciitis worse. Try to live a healthy lifestyle to reduce pressure on your feet and legs.

  • Foot Care and Hygiene. Taking care of your feet is important if you have plantar fasciitis. Wash, moisturize, and check for any irritation or injury regularly.

  • Usage of Orthotic Inserts. If you have specific biomechanical issues or persistent foot pain, custom orthotic inserts or over-the-counter insoles can provide additional support and alignment. You can use these inserts with supportive footwear to enhance the benefits of both.

  • Preventative Measures for Plantar Fasciitis

To prevent future plantar fasciitis episodes, manage current symptoms and take preventive measures. These measures are particularly relevant if you're susceptible to this condition because of lifestyle factors, genetics, or footwear choices.

    • Gradual Activity Increase. Start a new exercise routine or increase activity gradually. This will allow your feet to adjust and reduce the risk of strain or irritation. By pacing yourself and listening to your body, you can reduce the likelihood of overuse injuries, including plantar fasciitis.

    • Wear Supportive Footwear. Choose comfortable shoes with good arch support, cushioning, and stability to prevent strain on the plantar fascia. There are many options for women's shoes that can help with foot pain, such as plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. You can choose supportive features for your daily shoes carefully. Make sure to select shoes that provide the necessary support for your feet. This will help alleviate any discomfort or pain you may be experiencing.

    • Regular Foot Health Assessments. Regular foot check-ups, such as biomechanical evaluations and gait analyses, can detect foot problems early. This can prevent the problems from worsening. This can contribute to identifying risk factors for conditions like plantar fasciitis and implementing preventative strategies.

    • Finding the right shoes is crucial for managing and easing plantar fasciitis symptoms. With a wide range of women's footwear designed for plantar fasciitis, you can prioritize supportive features and find options tailored to your needs and preferences.

To prevent plantar fasciitis, wear supportive shoes, take care of your feet, and use preventive measures. This can help you manage the condition and keep your feet healthy. With the right shoes, lifestyle changes, and personal care, you can experience better comfort and mobility.

Best Shoes for my Plantar Fasciitis

I had been struggling with plantar fasciitis and heel pain for a couple of years when I bought several different brands of supportive athletic shoes. These KURU ATOMs absolutely rose to the top for comfort, support and how good my feet feel at the end of the day. I've had this pair for 6mos, wear them probably 90% of the time and they still look and feel great. The bottom tread is just now starting to show some wear. I particularly appreciate the smoke grey-pale orange color combo. It coordinates easily and doesn't scream athletic shoe. Highly recommend!"

Best shoes for plantar fasciitis

I have been suffering from foot pain for a while, the orthopedist diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis, I found this brand, needed a shoe to walk indoors because walking on hard floors made my feet hurt more, these are the best shoe so comfortable, pain has gotten a lot better since I started using them."

Plantar Fasciitis

I was having the absolute worst pain in my heel when I would get up in the mornings and I searched for a shoe that advertised it could essentially treat it. This was the one I bought and I am so thankful! Worth every penny. Healed my plantar fascia and I no longer have pain."

Plantar fasciitis gone!

I have had my QUANTUMs for about 10 months now and could not be happier. Prior to purchasing these, I had daily pain from plantar fasciitis even with custom orthotics. Since I started wearing the QUANTUMs, I have virtually no heel pain! I bought the electric grape/midnight blue and I love the colors!"

Resolved plantar fasciitis!

I am on my feet at work for over forty hours per week. I struggled with pain from plantar fasciitis and resulting heel spurs until finding KURU in 2016. This shoe supports my high arch and cradles/cushions my heel. Pain free for six years and counting. Thank you KURU!"
