Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too high of an Arch for Mr I wanted these to work for me but the arch is just too high and my foot sort of rolled to the side and caused pain I kept trying to get used to them but I couldn’t. I could not return them because it had been 45 days and then I looked at the shoe and it had two new insoles on top of each other and of different kinds, not sure if this is intentional but I took the rubbery one out and they seem to feel better now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real relief! I've had plantar fasciitis for two years. Tried a lot of shoes. A surgeon friend recommended this line. These (Ellie) work. I just ordered my 3rd pair. I have a very high arch, was concerned about the elastic band being too tight, but it just means these shoes hug your feet. And they are incredibly comfortable, albeit a bit tricky to get on. Worth the effort. I wish they came in more colors and I'd like to have a pair with a dark sole so they looked a bit dressier. These are the only shoes I'm wearing until my feet get better. Going to a black tie gala in a couple of weeks. I'll be wearing the black ones under my gown. I returned a pair of Kala sandals because they weren't comfortable, got my refund within a week. I also bought the teal Vienna, it wasn't as comfortable as this shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful I just received my second pair of Ellies. I have very high arches and instep and now plantar fasciitis. This are the only shoes that are comfortable. They tend to run a little small so I ordered a half size larger. Slipping these on is like walking on a cloud!!! Awesome!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So incredibly comfortable I'd been eyeing Kurus for a while and finally pulled the trigger on a pair of Ellies as I needed them for work. They arrived over the weekend and are so perfect right out of the box. I can already tell they're getting my body back in alignment... there are some minor related aches and pains but I can't wait to see how much better I feel over the coming weeks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoe, Great Company I never heard of Kuru until a. few weeks ago when I was told I had Plantar Fasciitis. I bought the Ellie and love the shoe. It is probably THE most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have a narrow foot and a high arch, and even though this shoe only comes in a Medium width, I am able to wear it.I was told the shoe runs a bit small so I went up a half size and the shoe WORKS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy! I am at that point in life where comfort is paramount, but I would also like to have a little style. So, I tried a pair of these, have been wearing around the house in case I needed to send them back and finally decided they are keepers. They are light, yet supportive. I am considering getting another color, but will wait to see if these feel good after wearing all day. Didn't give it five stars because of the wide elastic band: while it makes the shoe stay in place on your foot without sliding around, it also makes it a little difficult to get the shoe on your foot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute and lightweight! This is a great shoe for spring or fall, although without socks, my feet get sweaty. Very comfortable, but they do run a little small. My left foot is slightly bigger so my toe hits the end in the left shoe. I probably should have exchanged them but have already worn them outside. In terms of style, would like to see a black sole so they can seem a little dressier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I can't wear this shoe The shoes are extremely tight where that wide elastic band is. It is totally unforgiving. It is such an enormous relief to get the shoes off. I am in pain the whole time I have these shoes on. I do not have a high arch nor is my foot very wide. I have tried wearing them for shorter periods of time thinking that they need a break in period . But I think that I am just going to look for someone who wears the same size and give them to her so she can try them. From the reviews I see that many other people love them. As for me, I am done with the pain they cause me.

Can you run and these kind of shoes and also I have a bunion because I am a runner and jump rope I do Boot Camp six days a week

Asked by: Eva 123
Great question! The ELLIE shoe style is considered a casual style. It is great for walking and everyday use but we do not recommend running in them as they are considered a casual style. They also have a snug fit so they may not be the best if you have bunions. I hope this information was helpful!

I have bunions and see that Ellie's run narrow.  I am normally an 8 1/2 medium but like a shoe with a roomier toe box.  Should I get the wide width or is there another Kuru shoe that would be better?

Asked by: Leslie16
Thank you for contacting KURU Footwear! Unfortunately, the ELLIE shoe style is not available in a wide width so if you want a roomier toe box in the ELLIE, we highly suggest ordering a half size up as an alternative. If you want a different style with a roomier toe box, we recommend checking out the QUANTUM shoe style. I hope this information was helpful!

I have purchased the Quantum, size 7. Would I order the same in the Ellie? I'm also wanting to purchase the Ellie for a vacation where I will be doing lots of walking and airline travel. Worried about sizing with swelling from air travel also

Asked by: craftyginger
Great question! Both the ELLIE and the QUANTUM run true to size so we recommend ordering the same size 7 in the ELLIE shoe style. The ELLIE will feel a little snug compared to the QUANTUM but they still run true to size. I hope this information was helpful!

I would love to buy these shoes. They are so stylish. Alas, I wear a size 12. Would you consider extending the sizes?

Asked by: Swg
Sorry, our ELLIE is only available in women sizes 6-11. We'll forward your feedback to our Product Development Team.

A these good for pronation?

Asked by: nj0384638
Great question! The ELLIE shoe style is not specifically made for pronation but since the supportive technology in our shoes helps place your foot in the best anatomical position, it would help with pronation! A great alternative for pronation would be one of our hiking/outdoor shoes like the CHICANE or the QUEST boot since they have great padding around the heel and ankle area. I hope this information was helpful!

I'm on my feet for 12 hours a day on concrete is there any shoes you recommend?

Asked by: Penny's
Thanks for reaching out to KURU Footwear! All of our KURU shoes, no matter which style you choose, begin with anatomically correct arch support. (For those with high arches, this might not seem like enough at first, whereas those with low arches may feel like it's too much.) However, over time, they use your body heat to mold to your exact foot shape, so you get a custom fit, and exactly the support you need, no matter what kind of arch you have. This perfect arch support is the absolute best way to prevent and relieve Plantar Fasciitis pain. In fact, if you use our "plantar fasciitis" filter on the left-hand side of our main page, ALL our shoes will show under that topic. We suggest you wear your shoes 2-3 hours per day for 2-3 weeks to give your foot time to adjust to the shoes and your shoes to mold to your feet. So in summary, all of our shoes are great for Plantar Fasciitis, heel pain, and have excellent arch support! So rest assured whatever style you pick, it will feel like you are walking on clouds.

The white sole seems to collect black marks. What is the best way to clean them?
Asked by: Anonymous
Great question! The best way to clean the sole on the ELLIE shoes would be to hand wash them with a wet cloth or brush. We do not recommend putting them in a washing machine as it can damage the materials. We offer a cleaning kit that you can use to clean your shoes! You can check it out by using the following link:

How long do these normally last? Are they very durable?
Asked by: Erika
We appreciate your interest! Our shoes are very durable. The time they last can vary depending on the activities you do and the amount of time you wear them but for the most part our shoes last anywhere from 6 months to a full year on average! I hope this information was helpful!
