THE ANSWER I NEEDED!

Have tight tendons in foot similar to plantar fasciitis from broken leg 7 years ago. Walking has been uncomfortable through this time. Any answer I tried. I finally was able to order a pair of these and the support for foot and ankle has provided much wanted pain relief. Thank You KURU!

NEW TO KURU

I had never heard of Kuru but saw them recommended by podiatrists. The reviews convinced me that they were worth trying (and the free returns option was an added bonus) but I don't plan on returning the shoes I bought. I love the classic style- prefer it to the mesh look. They are very comfortable and are helping to alleviate the heel and ankle pain I was experiencing with my last pair- a problem that just started recently. Very happy with my purchase, the shoes, and the company!

Amazing!!! I’m ordering more

I suffer plantar fasciitis from running and got these to wear around the house, since i was advised against being barefoot & slippers didn’t provide enough support. They are amazing, so much better than I was expecting! They slide on easily and STAY on, provide so much support and are so comfortable I could wear them all day. I’ve started wearing them out walking so I’m buying a few new pairs. I have the black and pink which are also pretty cute too! I’ve already told my mom to get a pair (or three).

Experts Guide to the Best Shoes for Your Foot Condition

Find the best shoe for your plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain, Morton’s neuroma and more!

From walking to standing, many of us spend hours relying on our feet to support us—but we don’t always think about what our feet need from us. Each step puts stress and strain on our heels, arches and ankles. And many of us are wearing flimsy, unsupportive shoes.

Fortunately, many common foot conditions—from plantar fasciitis to neuropathy to ball of foot pain—can find relief with supportive, comfortable footwear. Even more than easing pain, the right shoes can help prevent these issues entirely.

Plantar Fasciitis Shoes: Your Perfect Fit Awaits

Plantar fasciitis is an extremely common overuse injury. And while a doctor is the person to see for a diagnosis, if you are experiencing heel pain there is a good chance you have plantar fasciitis!

This sharp, stabbing sensation is most often felt in the heel or the sole of your foot, and the pain is the result of wear and tear on your plantar fascia—which runs beneath the length of your feet.

You can’t always take the breaks you need to bring your feet relief, but you can help prevent or treat plantar fasciitis by choosing the right shoes! You want a mix of cushion and support, to shield your body from pain and protect your plantar fascia from wear and tear so your body is able to heal itself.

The best shoes for plantar fasciitis make heel support a top priority, but it’s important to consider the whole of your sole as well. Your heel takes on a lion’s share of the impact with every step, so our patented KURUSOLE is designed to dynamically flex and redirect that force away from your heel.

ULTIMATE INSOLES blend cushion and support strategically along the length of your foot, and the space-age foam even uses your own body heat to adapt to the unique shape of your feet over time!

Add in the lightweight cushion of our KURUCLOUD midsole and you’ll feel like you’re walking on clouds.

Flat Feet Shoes: Your Perfect Fit Awaits

People are generally born with flat feet and our arches develop over time, usually by age 6. When those arches don’t form, sometimes due to genetic reasons and other times because of injury or trauma, the result is flat feet. Flat feet are fairly common (as many as 20 percent of adults have flat feet) and can become painful.

Flat feet can also affect the way you walk and cause issues with pronation. Leg cramps, muscle aches and toe drift are all common side effects of flat feet.

The best shoes for flat feet generally feature enhanced arch support to compensate for the shape of the sole. From expensive custom orthotics to cheap drugstore inserts, there are a lot of options out there. But what if there was a shoe designed from the ground up to help with pain from
flat feet?

Every pair of KURUs features our ULTIMATE INSOLES, which strategically blend cushion and support along the full-length of your sole for all-day comfort. Even better, the space age foam in our insoles use your own body heat to adapt to the unique shape of your feet over time. Enjoy customized arch support out of the box with KURU, and experience Pain Relief Beyond Belief.

Most people with flat feet don’t experience signs or symptoms, but for those who feel pain it’s most common in the heel and arch area.

Diabetic Shoes: Your Perfect Fit Awaits

Healthy feet and managing diabetes work in lockstep. Because of issues with circulation and sensation, diabetics are often at much greater risk for a slate of foot problems—from hammertoe and bunions to Morton’s neuroma and other neuropathy. Sensitivity issues are also common among those with diabetes: so corns, calluses, and other small injuries can feel extra excruciating—or they can go unnoticed for too long and cause infections.

Lower-limb amputation is a very real risk for people with diabetes and the problems often begin with small wounds that go untreated for too long. If you have diabetes and sensitivity issues, it is crucial to check your feet every day for injury, sores, calluses or corns because it’s easy to make the damage worse when you don’t feel the pain.

Another way to protect your feet is to choose shoes that offer extra room for your toes and use soft, breathable materials that reduce friction on painful spots. Supportive, comfortable shoes can make it easier to get moving and stay moving without being sidelined by foot pain. Staying active helps with circulation and overall health for those with diabetes.

Diabetes can affect circulation and disrupt foot health, but elevating your feet when you sit or
taking a moment to wiggle your toes periodically can help increase blood flow and reduce pain.

Pronation Shoes: Your Perfect Fit Awaits

Your foot naturally rolls inward to absorb shock as you run or walk and that motion is called pronation. Everyone pronates to some degree, and doing so helps redirect force and impact to shield your body.

Overpronation is when your foot turns down and rolls inward too much, and this is more common among people with flexible feet and flatter arches.

Underpronation (also called supination) is when your foot rolls outward too much with each step, and this is more common with people who have high arches and rigid feet.

One easy way to check your pronation is to look at the wear pattern on your shoes. If your shoes tend to wear out from the edge of the heel toward the center of the foot, you’re likely overpronating. Heavy wear on the outside edge of your shoe, on the other hand, is a sign of underpronation.

Because pronation tends to be linked to the shape of your arches, the right shoe will depend on whether you have high arches or flat feet. (Though it is possible to have pronation issues with average arches.) Our ULTIMATE INSOLES offer custom arch support fine-tuned to the shape of your feet. How? Space-age foams harness your body heat and mold to the shape of your feet over time.

Most people pronate to some extent, but if that motion is greater than 15 degrees to either side you are under or over pronating.

Wide Feet Shoes: Your Perfect Fit Awaits

Wide feet can make shopping for shoes a chore, especially because many common foot conditions are exacerbated by tight footwear. Morton’s neuroma, hammer toe, bunions, calluses and other painful issues can be caused by constant pressure on your feet, and if you have a genetic predisposition toward those issues then shoes that pinch can make them worse while elevating the pain to excruciating levels.
