ULTIMATE INSOLE for Customized Comfort

Dual-density foam blends support and cushion that adapts to your needs.

At KURU, we take your comfort seriously. And we understand that when you step inside a shoe, your feet’s first point of contact is the insole. Every pair of KURUs includes our ULTIMATE INSOLE, so you can skip traditional, thin inserts or expensive orthotics.

ULTIMATE INSOLES feature dual-density foam that blends areas of superior cushion with firmer zones placed strategically for high-quality arch support.

Plus, the advanced foams we use mold to the unique shape of your feet over time using your body heat. The result is a superior fit for your unique needs, and all-day comfort that relieves pain day after day.

We considered every contour when it comes to your comfort. Our ULTIMATE INSOLE is engineered to cushion and support you, while helping your body maintain healthy posture and alignment for better health.

First off, our ULTIMATE INSOLES are made of high-quality polyurethane (PU) foam rather than the standard EVA foam found in most insoles. That means they offer premium durability, more responsiveness, and better rebound. Plus, we use a dual-density design to offer zoned support—soft where you need cushion and firm where you need support.

Second, our specially designed arch contour forms a bridge of support along your arch and plantar fascia, protecting you from pronation problems and keeping your foot aligned. This provides support for high arches, or helps gently lift fallen arches into a better position.

That smart shape continues into the heel, where ULTIMATE INSOLES work in tandem with KURUSOLE to contain your fat pad and protect your heel from impact. This maximizes your body’s natural cushion to fight foot pain with every step.

Finding the Right Insole

Insoles are available in various models and profiles to accommodate a wide range of foot shapes and foot conditions. How does KURU fit in?

From arch-support insoles to orthotic insoles or insoles for flat feet, finding the best insoles depends on your unique needs.

Whether you have foot problems that cause you pain or are simply aching after standing all day, a high quality insert can make a big difference. With options out there ranging from EVA to memory foam, it can be tough to find the perfect fit.

What if there was a shoe that came with the support and cushion you need right out of the box?

That’s exactly what you’ll find at KURU. Every pair of our shoes features our ULTIMATE INSOLE, so you can skip the hassle of paying extra for additional inserts or heel lifts. Plantar fasciitis insoles need to have adequate arch support to keep your arches lifted, and that’s exactly what you get with ULTIMATE INSOLES.

The dual-density foam in our ULTIMATE INSOLES strategically blends support where you need it and offers cushion exactly where you want it. Then, the advanced materials use your body heat to mold to the unique shape of your feet over time, so you can get a flawless fit as you break in your new shoes.

Common Footwear Fit Problems

Insoles May Be Beneficial if You Experience Any of These Common Conditions and Fit Issues.

There are many reasons to look for an aftermarket insole. While you should always be looking for footwear that feels comfortable out of the box, sometimes hard to fit feet require an extra step or two to feel supported.

We want to make it easy to feel comfortable. That’s why our ULTIMATE INSOLES use dual-density foam for strategic zones of cushion and support. The insole’s unique curve is informed by your foot’s natural shape and designed to support you. Then, our advanced foams use your body heat to mold to the shape of your feet over time. With superior support and a more custom fit, you can skip the hassle of buying extra inserts for your shoes.

  • Differences in leg lengths
Heel lifts add some extra height on top of the insole and are generally used by people who have one leg that is slightly shorter than the other. Balancing out that difference can prevent foot pain! Heel lifts can also even out your gait to prevent those uneven wear patterns on your shoes.

  • High arches or flat feet
If you have high arches you may want an insert that rises slightly to give your arch something to rest on. This support can help your arch maintain the right shape as you walk and reduce pain from pronation problems. If you have low arches, an insert can help in similar ways by lifting your arch into a more natural position.

  • Bunions
Bunions can develop slowly over time, and when you start to notice them the pain can be intense. Inserts can help correct abnormal foot movements as you walk that lead to bunions. They can also cushion and protect the afflicted area to reduce pain and discomfort.
  • Heel pain
Heel inserts are among the most popular on the market, as heel pain is among the most common kinds of foot pain. Whether you have heel spurs, plantar fasciitis or just spend all day on your feet: some extra cushion and support at the heel can get you through the day.

Supporting Your Long-term Foot Health

Combining Cushion With Support

If fixing foot pain was as easy as adding more cushion, you could simply stuff your shoes like a pillow and saunter on. But in reality, fighting foot pain is as much about giving proper support as it is about cushioning impact.

Sometimes the most comfortable-in-the-moment shoes are not ideal for our feet in the long-term. Consider memory foam: this material feels great at first, but since it allows you to sink so quickly into it (and stay sunk in!), it doesn’t provide the lasting support required for pain relief.

Ensuring proper support can be especially important if you have high arches or flat feet, or if you deal with over- or under-pronation. All feet need support, but these more unique foot types need a little extra love to keep you moving.

Strategic Support Zones, Custom-molded Fit

Our ULTIMATE INSOLES strategically blend support where you need it and cushion where you want it, making them some of the best insoles for plantar fasciitis.

For those with high arches, the contoured shape of ULTIMATE INSOLES provides some extra support to keep your arch from collapsing. If you have flat feet, that support helps guide you toward a healthier gait.

To round off these pain-relieving features, the premium PU foam used in ULTIMATE INSOLES molds to the shape of your feet over time for a customized fit.

  • What makes ULTIMATE INSOLES different?

ULTIMATE INSOLES are designed with your feet in mind. From the contour of our arch support to the extra cupping action around your heel, every aspect is informed by your foot’s natural shape.

We use dual-density foam to deliver softness in some spots and more rigid support in others. The result is cushion in the moment and support to keep you moving.

Finally, we use the highest quality materials to deliver the best experience. Advanced PU foams offer more cushion and durability than standard EVA inserts. Even better, our foam uses your body heat to mold to your feet over time for a truly custom fit.

  • Can I wear my own orthotics with your shoes?

We build our technology into every shoe we make, so you never have to worry about aftermarket inserts. Many of our customers find they don’t need their previous orthotics because of the superior support they get from their KURUs.

If you do want to combine our shoes with your existing solutions or a heel lift, you’ll find that equipment with rounded bottoms fit best inside our shoes, since they feature a rounded shape to match nature.

  • Do you sell replacement insoles or sock liners?

We are happy to offer free replacements on ULTIMATE INSOLES for the lifetime of the shoe. While we don’t offer inserts as a separate purchase, you can always contact a KURU GURU for a free replacement if your ULTIMATE INSOLES wear out or suffer damage.

  • Are KURUs orthopedic shoes?

While KURU shoes are not currently considered orthopedic by a medical standard, we have received thousands of positive reviews from customers who say their KURUs helped reduce or eliminate their pain—from plantar fasciitis to flat feet.

In fact, many of our customers find that after switching to KURU they can leave their clunky inserts or unsightly orthopedic footwear behind for a more stylish option with just as much—if not more—comfort!

Three Layers of Support

At KURU, we pride ourselves on our unique approach to shoe design. We believe that shoes should be shaped to fit the natural contours of your feet, which is why we create every pair in three distinct support layers, not just an insole.

Our revolutionary ergonomic design starts with a curved footbed and adds unparalleled triple-layer support that includes shock-absorbing KURUCLOUD, heel-cupping KURUSOLE, and arch-supporting ULTIMATE INSOLES. The result? Shoes that are so comfortable you’ll stop thinking about your feet.

  • How KURU brings relief

Unlike anything else, our patented KURUSOLE flexes with every step to dynamically protect your heel and maximize your body’s natural cushioning. The technology cups and supports each step so much, it’s like a hug for your heels! Even better, this support helps guide your body toward a more natural posture and gait.

Love these shoes. I now have 4 pairs of Kuru’s, 3 of which are the Atoms. These shoes are so comfy and can get me through each day. I am a Vet Tech and work very long hours and it is so relieving to be able to go home after a 10+ hour day and still have little pain in my feet.”

Comfy walking shoe. This is my 4th pair of Atoms (I’m a walker and use them hard). They are an insanely comfortable walking shoe and required a minimal break-in period. The Mountain Sage is a sharp color. Highly recommended.”

Love them!! Comfortable even though not wide and they look great with jeans. The insole is great.”

Grandma Ann

Long shifts, great relief. Only had them a week. I work 12 hour night shift at a print production warehouse with hard concrete floors. Normally my feet hurt a couple hours in. I’ve tried insoles and other shoes that say “comfort”, however these are the first that actually make my feet feel fine after a full shift. Will definitely be buying more guaranteed.”

Jesse R

OHHHHHHH MY. I am so happy with this shoe. I have chronic metatarslia. Have had 400.00$ insoles made for my work shoes. I bought these for exercise. They are every bit as good as my custom insoles. I can jump again without pain. I plan on buying more for running around and some insoles for my dressier shoes. Sooooo happy.”
