Features and Benefits of Men's Shoes for Heel Spurs

Because heel spurs are small bony overgrowths, they can create sharp, grating pain—especially when left unaddressed. The right shoes make all the difference.

The best men’s shoes for heel spurs feature:

Deep, Cushioned Heel Cups: Cradles and protects the heels from impact and pressure.

Ample Arch Support: Maintains natural alignment and reduces strain on the plantar fascia.

Shock-Absorbing Cushioning: Softens every step and reduces force on bones and joints.

Wide, Flat Base: Enhances stability and minimizes extra stress on sensitive heel tissue.

Together, these features work in harmony to deliver lasting relief and help you stay active and supported.

Common Causes of Heel Spurs in Men

Heel spurs often develop as a result of repeated stress and overuse. That’s why active men—especially runners and athletes—are more likely to experience them over time.

Other common causes include:

  • 1) Walking frequently on hard surfaces
  • 2) High-impact sports like basketball or running
  • 3) Wearing unsupportive or ill-fitting shoes

These habits put constant pressure on the heel bone, causing the body to respond by forming extra bone in areas under strain. Though not all heel spurs cause pain, they can become large or inflamed enough to interfere with daily life.

Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spurs

I am on my fifth pair of QUANTUMs over the last three years. I had plantar fasciitis and a heel spur which were refractory to treatment and my job involves being on my feet 12 hours a day. Since purchasing my first pair of QUANTUMs, and after the short break-in period, I have had no pain and I am able to walk and work comfortably."

UNBELIEVABLY COMFORTABLE!

Have been wearing these shoes for over a week. Cannot believe how much of the Plantar Fasciitis and heel spur pain is relieved. These shoes are so light and comfortable that one almost does not want to take them off!! I did say ALMOST. My Podiatrist, while treating me for the PF and heel spurs stated that these are the BEST shoes on the market now for PF and spurs. They also help me with my type II diabetes. THANK YOU KURU for a terrific product and EXCELLENT customer service!!!!"
