Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a believer ! I used to dream of owning these shoes. They seemed too good to be true. Finally, I reached the point when I had enough pain and I ordered these shoes in a desperate effort for relief. OMG. I just can't believe it. My toes have plenty of room, my heel sits right in the heel cup where it belongs, and there's arch support. I put them on and I could almost tell instantly that they were going to be magical for me. I'm wearing them around the house right now and I have a tear in my eye as I write this. For the FIRST TIME in about...hmm, 7 years I think, I am pain free in a shoe. I have arthritis in my right foot, and plantars faciitis in both feet. I'm going to start saving so I can have another pair !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe This is my first Quantum. I wear these 13 hours a day at work. They were comfortable from day one. I used to wear Carrera to work, but they are discontinuing them so I had to find a new shoe for work. They have a little more room in the toe base compared to the Carrera’s, but otherwise the same fit and comfort. I would give 5 stars on style, but I prefer a grey sole over white because it doesn’t show dirt as much. Please keep the White Carrera Mesh with grey soles and pink or something similar to it. It is a versatile white shoe that isn’t too white.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These shoes are better than my podiatrist!! I had low expectations ..my feet hurt so much, I changed shoes (athletic shoes) 5 x daily. I had plantar fasciitis , Mortons neuroma, and the start of hammer toes!! Just walking for pleasure was out of the question! I tried all kinds of hacks! I saw a podiatrist , and then a foot orthopedist specialist. In the mean time I purchased a pair of Women's Quantum Mesh Walking Sneakers. The first pair was a little too large. I had a no-hassel return for the next 1/2 size down. The fit was perfect, but the comfort wasn't immediate. Gradually I could increase wear time comfort. One day, about 3 weeks after getting these shoes, I suddenly noticed I had worn these shoes ALL DAY without switching shoes! From that day forward I only wore these shoes and I have basically NO pain!! Because It was hard for me to believe, I still kept my scheduled nerve tests.... but when I return to the orthopedist for a follow up next week, I intend to gush about these shoes, and tell him I am happy with my progress due to these shoes! I hope he listens and will recommend Kurus as part of his practice. At this point, I no longer need more MD visits! I am discarding all my other sneakers and ordering another pair of Kurus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best I Have Worn! I am on my feet everyday for work and then just as much when I play. I am a plus size woman, and struggle with heel spurs and plantar faciitis. Though I have had to have treatment for those medical issues, I still need to do my job everyday and I want to do the things I love with limited or no pain. I found KURU by searching for nursing shoes back in Oct. 2018 and have been pleasantly surprised. I have spent alot of money on shoes and orthotics in the past, with not as much of a continued success as I have seen with these shoes. They are breathable and supportive all day. I did add a high end orthotic insole when I got them and thought it would provide more comfort. It seemed so, but recently I tried taking those out and just using the insole that the shoe came with. I was shocked to actually have a decrease in pain while walking all day. I did decide to wait this long to write the review because I really wanted to test them. I am buying another several pairs, so as to interchange them so they last longer. I think these are worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally A Sneaker my Wife can Wear My wife has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. He toes go numb after walking a mile in regular sneakers. She's tried dozens of pairs of sneakers and the only thing that worked prior to the Quantum sneaker were Merrell's. But Merrells are more like a hiking shoe than a sneaker. She loves the Quantum and can walk 3 plus miles with no issues with her toes. The Quantum is a littel wider than most sneakers and the angle between the heel and toe is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My heels are happy I got these as a work shoe, standing and performing tasks. These are very comfortable, they hold my heel in cushiony comfort. Not mushy soft, just right soft. The toe box is very generous. I can wear these standing all day and still feel good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m a KURU believer! After struggling with self-diagnoses plantar fasciitis for four years, I finally decided to invest in orthopedic shoes. While researching another, more expensive name brand...I discovered KURU. I decided to take a chance and ordered these. They made an IMMEDIATE difference. It has been two months, and I can say that I notice the difference on days I do not wear these. So now I am ordering some flats for work so I don’tt have to go without the pain relief these provide while I am at work. These shoes do not correct the plantar faciitis, but they do provide substantial relief. I am a newly converted believer in KURUS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for long days on your feet I have had these shoes for a few months now. I tried many other types of shoes and inserts for my PF and this has been the best for me so far. I'm on my feet on hard floors all day (medical field) and my pain is significantly lower with these shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another shoe for my collection Got the light grey and lavender Quantum Mesh for an upcoming trip. Seems I always have issues with my feet & Kuru shoes have always come to my aid. The only shoes I took on a trip to Greece were my Kivi’s and my tennis shoes . I had plantar fasciitis and a heel spur 2 years ago and the Kivi’s were great ! Then when I went to Greece I banged my big toe so hard on a metal bed leg that I thought I broke it and lucky for me I had my Kuru’s as I had a hard time walking ! I think the grey Quantum’s will be great for my vacation this year too. I would buy more shoes if they came in 10 1/2 wide, so please keep this size coming ! Also , slide in sandals would be cool too as I don’t like the strap between my toes for sandals ! Thank you !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty disappointed I bought these a little over 2 months ago. I’ve been suffering with plantar fasciitis for a year now. I was using inserts in my old athletic shoes, but the shoes were wearing down. I figured I would invest in shoes that were specifically designed for PF. A family member suggested Kuru. I thought they were a bit pricey, but I figured it was worth the money. I wore them around the house for the suggested few hours a day for the first couple days. Just a heads up, just because it feels ok for the first couple hours does not mean they will for long hours. My feet still hurt when I wear them. In fact, in addition to the heel pain I had, I now have pain in my arch. The shoes also squeak very loud when walking in them. I wear them to work most days, and it’s very annoying to me and my coworkers when I walk down the quiet halls. While the design is cute, they have done nothing for my PF and are DEFINITELY not worth the money. It seems absolutely absurd that I could keep them pristine in the time to figure out if they work for my feet. For a company that only sells online and charges more than $100 for shoes should back their product better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick relief, great shoe overall I purposefully waited to do a review on these shoes to be sure it was as accurate as possible. Like you, I read reviews! I bought these July 2018 after thoroughly reading reviews. Just as promised, these shoes relieved my heel pain, quicker than I expected. I wore these every day, and put a lot of time on them; no shoe can take that much wear and hold up forever! However, after about 6 months, the insole had molded to my feet so much so that I felt I needed to replace the insole. I really thought I would have to buy another pair of shoes, but I contacted Kuru and they offered to send me another pair of insooes. They also told me that whenever I want the insoles replaced, just to call. You don't get this kind of excellent customer service much anymore! The shoe itself is excellent and holds up well to wear. I have since purchased a pair of Chicane hiking boots which are also wonderful and relieve my heel pain well. I highly recommend giving these a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight I just received my shoes so I’m going on just a few days of wear. I love how my foot feels while walking in these shoes. They look really nice. I have a heel spur on my left foot and felt relief while wearing these. Hopefully they will hold up well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from KURU QUANTUM I love the shoe and it fits perfect. True to size. The color was where I had a disappointment. The website shows mint green color and were actually blue. It's pretty but I bought them for the shoe and color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from get outa town! love ok- this is my 4th pair in 2 months from KURU- I have plantars and heel pain that is killing me. feet dont fail me..i stumbled upon KURU when I researched internet for best shoes for heel pain. I have two other styles plus the house shoe- slipper. I adore all three they are life savers for me. I wanted a tennis shoe. this is super cute. I wasnt sure how i would like it. I wore it for a 10 hour day and at the end of my 10 hour day I stopped at a shoe department and tried on other tennis shoes. come on..no no no. KURUS are far superior then the ones I tried on for me. the comfort is amazing. I live in Minnesota and my only surprise was the wind when I left work tonight. The mesh is very cool and I would not recommend for outdoor wear in the cool weather.- I recommend this brand to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have 2 pair! I purchased a couple pairs of these because they are so comfortable and looking for different colors! Great arch support, never feel pair or have tired feet. I have been wearing only kurus for 2 years now and buy them for my siblings who also suffer from platar fasciitis and pronated feet. They love them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An Honest review... GOOD: More comfortable than standard athletic shoes/ lightweight/ real size. BAD: Squeaking since day 1(New insoles were delivered to solve the immediate situation). I bought Quantum with great expectations, but did not pass the test of long working hours (12 hrs +) as a nurse. The pain in my heels and foot plant was present after 8 hours of standing. Unfortunately, did not work for my needs. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allows me to walk in comfort again. Suffering from plantar fasciitis, bunions and heel pain, I searched the web for shoes after not finding what I needed at shoe stores. Found Kuru and so happy I did. Purchased the gray/lavender Quantum in August and I am taking long dog walks again. The toe room is generous, the heels are soft and the arches seemed to mold to my feet. I am so grateful that I can enjoy walking again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Walk 15K a day I received these shoes about 2 months ago and everything was fine...until y little toes tarted getting irritated and blistered it's the design of the shoe where the rubber extends up into the side with the name on it is where the issue is coming from hope they can exchange them for another type, that would be nice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more pain The first week my feet hurt a little after a 10 hour nursing shift. After that I have no more plantar fasciitis pain and perfect these shoes over being barefoot. I will never use any other tennis shoe. Highly recommended

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jury is still out... at least somewhat I purchased these shoes to try because I suffer from arch and heel pain (I've self-diagnosed Plantar Fasciitis -- thank you, interwebs -- but have never officially been diagnosed by a doctor). My dogs and I walk between 20-25 miles every week, let alone the every day walking that occurs for most of us. I was waking up with so much foot pain that I just didn't want to do anything (which is no fun for a person who is pretty active in addition to the walking). I've tried various arch supports and inserts from different brands and nothing has worked over the long term to relieve the pain. In athletic (running) shoes, I typically buy 8.5, and in regular shoes I usually end up in a 7.5-8, depending on the brand. My foot is slightly wide of "B" width, so I went with the wide width on these and bought both a 7 and 7.5, after trying out an 8 that was way too large. After having worn these for about a month, I will say that my feet don't hurt as badly as they did. While my feet still aren't great or perfect by any means, it's nice to not be writhing in pain every time I step on the ground first thing in the morning. What I have noticed is that the cushion doesn't seem to last very long, which was a concern for me from the get go. Initially, I wore the 7 wides exclusively, and the toe area still seemed long, but on one of my feet, the pinky toe was constantly blistering from rubbing on the inside of the shoe seam; so, I started wearing the 7.5, which are even longer in the toes, but it seems to have helped out with the rubbing. That said, the cushion on the heel of the size 7s after wearing for just a few weeks feels as though it's nearly completely gone. The 7.5s that I've been wearing for a couple of weeks now still seem okay, but I haven't been able to walk the dogs as far due to cold, snowy weather. I don't mind spending this amount on a good shoe that's actually going to help my feet, but I need them to last for more than a few weeks. Even 3-4 months would be okay, but I need some amount of longevity because I simply can't afford to replace them every month. At this point, the shoes have worked better than any other attempted fix, but I really have concerns about the value/longevity. I hope that they'll work, at minimum, for a few months, but it's not looking promising at this point. I may end up purchasing them again in the future because they do work, but I will definitely be hesitant because of the quick wear-out time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RN that walks 5 miles per shift with plantar fasciitis I am a float pool RN and have plantar fasciitis in both feet. I walk 5-6 miles each 12 hour shift since I can get sent to different units within a shift. I wore Nikes before I googled "best nursing shoe". Kuru's link came up and I gave it a try because of the free returns. The first shift I wore these shoes were completely amazing. No heel pain, my legs didn't ache, and I felt like I had more energy at the end of my shift. I have recommended Kuru to several nurses and most give it a try and love them!. I wear these shoes with compression socks, which are thinner than most socks. However, I do feel they are true to size. I love the width in the toe area, and they are lightweight. They bend easily and do not loose support after being flexed through the toe. The color didn't fade, even after Cavi wipes, and the purple wipes we use to clean pathogens. The mesh keeps my feet cool, and breathable. I have worn these shoes for about 750 miles... the tread on the sole looks new! I also love how the laces stay tied without having to double knot. I just ordered my second pair :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shoes for heel pain ever! I have been buying your shoes for 3 years now, and this was after paying a lot of money for a foot specialist and orthodoics that did not work. Thanks to Kuru, my heal pain has been gone for over a year now. Love your shoes and I appreciate you are adding more colors and styles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All I can say is - FANTASTIC SNEAKER! I received my Quantum Kuru 2 days ago and it has been great. Three weeks ago, I was struck with plantar fasciitis in left foot and am going to PT - I am amazed that I have no pain when I wear these. Also, I have right big toe arthritis which is the reason I wear custom orthodics. On the 1st day with Quantum Kuru, I wore the sneaker from 10 am to 10 pm WITHOUT the custom orthodic. The sneakers are that good! I was so skeptical at first because I have been disappointed with no many sneakers over the past 10 years, wasted so much money, but as the day wore on and a 45 min walk, no pain and in fact my feet haven't felt this good in any sneaker (i've been wearing Aetrex for 5 years). I haven't done any activities in 3 weeks because of the pain. Now I am ready and confident with this sneaker. The Quantum is extremely well made -- just looking at all the qualities of the sneaker amazes me. No one paid me to say any of this - I am just a regular but very active 71 year old lady that loves to walk/hike, kayak, and play a lot of Pickleball . THANK YOU KURU. I will be ordering a 2nd pair, one for outside activities and one for the home. (it's like tennis). I am so excited about this sneaker - it's been a long time coming and so thankful I found this sneaker by reading almost everything I could find on the internet about how to heal plantar fasciitis.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfort! I'm on my feet all day and these shoes are amazing. They are comfortable to walk in and stand in. My feet are considerably less sore at the end of the day. Fit is true to size. Toe box is roomy. I will definitely be buying again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm amazed! I'm so impressed by this shoe! I've had plantar fasciitis in the past but now have terrible heel pain and foot fatigue if I'm on my feet for more than an hour. I wasn't expecting much as I've tried so many other shoes and insoles, but these shoes have almost completely taken away the pain in my feet! There was an adjustment period - I wore them to work and whenever I was out and about. At first my feet hurt worse than usual, but after two weeks they started to feel better and now I finally know what its like to be able to walk all day and not be bothered by any discomfort. Amazing! I just ordered the Trina flat, I'm crossing my fingers it's just as comfortable as the Quantam!

Are this shoe best for planter fascilitics?

Asked by: Minu
Thanks for reaching out to KURU Footwear! All of our KURU shoes, no matter which style you choose, begin with anatomically correct arch support. (For those with high arches, this might not seem like enough at first, whereas those with low arches may feel like it's too much.) However, over time, they use your body heat to mold to your exact foot shape, so you get a custom fit, and exactly the support you need, no matter what kind of arch you have. This perfect arch support is the absolute best way to prevent and relieve Plantar Fasciitis pain. So in summary, all of our shoes are great for Plantar Fasciitis, heel pain, and have excellent arch support! So rest assured whatever style you pick, it will feel like you are walking on clouds. Happy walking!

I need a sneaker with a large toe box, which shoe would be the best?

Asked by: M E
I would suggest the QUANTUM for you. The QUANTUM is an athletic shoe that is a medium and wide width. It has an extra wide toebox for those who need more room for the toes, and is the shoe with the widest toebox of all our available styles. It also has the same technology and support to keep you comfortable all day long and to help relieve foot pain and PF pain.

What is a great sneaker for fallen arches
Asked by: Anonymous
Great question! When it comes to fallen arches, all of our KURU shoes include the same supportive technology built into them so really any of our shoes would be able to help with fallen arches and even high arches. The only difference between our shoes would be the style and fit of the shoe! We can always order a pair to see how they work out! Please keep in mind that we do offer free shipping, exchanges, and returns. With that being said, you can always order a pair to try them on and if you get the wrong size or if it doesn't work out for you, you can return them to us free of charge within 45 days of purchase. They need to be in new condition to get full refund or exchange.
