Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jury is still out... at least somewhat I purchased these shoes to try because I suffer from arch and heel pain (I've self-diagnosed Plantar Fasciitis -- thank you, interwebs -- but have never officially been diagnosed by a doctor). My dogs and I walk between 20-25 miles every week, let alone the every day walking that occurs for most of us. I was waking up with so much foot pain that I just didn't want to do anything (which is no fun for a person who is pretty active in addition to the walking). I've tried various arch supports and inserts from different brands and nothing has worked over the long term to relieve the pain. In athletic (running) shoes, I typically buy 8.5, and in regular shoes I usually end up in a 7.5-8, depending on the brand. My foot is slightly wide of "B" width, so I went with the wide width on these and bought both a 7 and 7.5, after trying out an 8 that was way too large. After having worn these for about a month, I will say that my feet don't hurt as badly as they did. While my feet still aren't great or perfect by any means, it's nice to not be writhing in pain every time I step on the ground first thing in the morning. What I have noticed is that the cushion doesn't seem to last very long, which was a concern for me from the get go. Initially, I wore the 7 wides exclusively, and the toe area still seemed long, but on one of my feet, the pinky toe was constantly blistering from rubbing on the inside of the shoe seam; so, I started wearing the 7.5, which are even longer in the toes, but it seems to have helped out with the rubbing. That said, the cushion on the heel of the size 7s after wearing for just a few weeks feels as though it's nearly completely gone. The 7.5s that I've been wearing for a couple of weeks now still seem okay, but I haven't been able to walk the dogs as far due to cold, snowy weather. I don't mind spending this amount on a good shoe that's actually going to help my feet, but I need them to last for more than a few weeks. Even 3-4 months would be okay, but I need some amount of longevity because I simply can't afford to replace them every month. At this point, the shoes have worked better than any other attempted fix, but I really have concerns about the value/longevity. I hope that they'll work, at minimum, for a few months, but it's not looking promising at this point. I may end up purchasing them again in the future because they do work, but I will definitely be hesitant because of the quick wear-out time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RN that walks 5 miles per shift with plantar fasciitis I am a float pool RN and have plantar fasciitis in both feet. I walk 5-6 miles each 12 hour shift since I can get sent to different units within a shift. I wore Nikes before I googled "best nursing shoe". Kuru's link came up and I gave it a try because of the free returns. The first shift I wore these shoes were completely amazing. No heel pain, my legs didn't ache, and I felt like I had more energy at the end of my shift. I have recommended Kuru to several nurses and most give it a try and love them!. I wear these shoes with compression socks, which are thinner than most socks. However, I do feel they are true to size. I love the width in the toe area, and they are lightweight. They bend easily and do not loose support after being flexed through the toe. The color didn't fade, even after Cavi wipes, and the purple wipes we use to clean pathogens. The mesh keeps my feet cool, and breathable. I have worn these shoes for about 750 miles... the tread on the sole looks new! I also love how the laces stay tied without having to double knot. I just ordered my second pair :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shoes for heel pain ever! I have been buying your shoes for 3 years now, and this was after paying a lot of money for a foot specialist and orthodoics that did not work. Thanks to Kuru, my heal pain has been gone for over a year now. Love your shoes and I appreciate you are adding more colors and styles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All I can say is - FANTASTIC SNEAKER! I received my Quantum Kuru 2 days ago and it has been great. Three weeks ago, I was struck with plantar fasciitis in left foot and am going to PT - I am amazed that I have no pain when I wear these. Also, I have right big toe arthritis which is the reason I wear custom orthodics. On the 1st day with Quantum Kuru, I wore the sneaker from 10 am to 10 pm WITHOUT the custom orthodic. The sneakers are that good! I was so skeptical at first because I have been disappointed with no many sneakers over the past 10 years, wasted so much money, but as the day wore on and a 45 min walk, no pain and in fact my feet haven't felt this good in any sneaker (i've been wearing Aetrex for 5 years). I haven't done any activities in 3 weeks because of the pain. Now I am ready and confident with this sneaker. The Quantum is extremely well made -- just looking at all the qualities of the sneaker amazes me. No one paid me to say any of this - I am just a regular but very active 71 year old lady that loves to walk/hike, kayak, and play a lot of Pickleball . THANK YOU KURU. I will be ordering a 2nd pair, one for outside activities and one for the home. (it's like tennis). I am so excited about this sneaker - it's been a long time coming and so thankful I found this sneaker by reading almost everything I could find on the internet about how to heal plantar fasciitis.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfort! I'm on my feet all day and these shoes are amazing. They are comfortable to walk in and stand in. My feet are considerably less sore at the end of the day. Fit is true to size. Toe box is roomy. I will definitely be buying again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm amazed! I'm so impressed by this shoe! I've had plantar fasciitis in the past but now have terrible heel pain and foot fatigue if I'm on my feet for more than an hour. I wasn't expecting much as I've tried so many other shoes and insoles, but these shoes have almost completely taken away the pain in my feet! There was an adjustment period - I wore them to work and whenever I was out and about. At first my feet hurt worse than usual, but after two weeks they started to feel better and now I finally know what its like to be able to walk all day and not be bothered by any discomfort. Amazing! I just ordered the Trina flat, I'm crossing my fingers it's just as comfortable as the Quantam!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quantum is terrific for heel pain and bunions! I am on my 4th pair of Quantum Mesh shoes. They have been wonderful for heel pain and also the wide width has worked great with my bunions. I can run and walk in them like I never could before, even in shoes with expensive orthodics added weren't even close to this amount of comfort and support. Thank you Kuru!

What is a great sneaker for fallen arches
Asked by: Anonymous
Great question! When it comes to fallen arches, all of our KURU shoes include the same supportive technology built into them so really any of our shoes would be able to help with fallen arches and even high arches. The only difference between our shoes would be the style and fit of the shoe! We can always order a pair to see how they work out! Please keep in mind that we do offer free shipping, exchanges, and returns. With that being said, you can always order a pair to try them on and if you get the wrong size or if it doesn't work out for you, you can return them to us free of charge within 45 days of purchase. They need to be in new condition to get full refund or exchange.

I know the majority of the population has Medium width and Wide feet. I wear 7 1/2 Slim. I wonder if there is anything out there for my unique foot? If I take a flexible tape measure and put it around my foot at the base of the toes, my right foot measures 7 1/2 inches and my left measures 7 3/4 inches. Both feet have very narrow heels. I am diabetic, have neuropathy, and am looking for the same comfort that most people can get. What is the answer for this problem?
Asked by: Sue G.
We appreciate your interest! Unfortunately, we do not offer any slim or narrow widths but the medium width in our women's footwear is a size B. This size is based on the Brannock measuring device which is the device commonly found in footwear stores. The size B is the narrowest width that we offer. All of our KURU shoes include the same supportive technology so any of our shoes would be able to help with neuropathy and other conditions like plantar fasciitis! It would all just come down to the style that you are looking for! We can always order a pair to see how they fit and work out!

Are these slip resistent?
Asked by: PattyW
We appreciate your interest! The QUANTUM style is not slip-resistant or anti-slip. The only anti-slip KURU shoes that we offer are the KINETIC anti-slip shoes. You can check them out by using the following link: https://www.kurufootwear.com/kinetic.html?color=BrightWhite-TealMist

Is it true to size?
Asked by: Anonymous
Great question! The QUANTUM does run true to size, so we recommend ordering the size you normally purchase in other brands. For example, if you normally purchase a size 10 in other brands, then we recommend ordering a size 10 in KURU. Please keep in mind that we do offer free shipping, exchanges, and returns. With that being said, you can always order a pair to try them on and if you get the wrong size or if it doesn't work out for you, you can return them to us free of charge within 45 days of purchase. I have been looking at your quantum. The reviews support heal pain issues which I have. I have a serious knee problem. I have had 5 surgeries burying nerves from a terrible fall and an outside hematoma the size of a softball. I continue to have burning neuropathy. I am going to Spain for 6 weeks. I want to be able to walk with as much comfort as possible. Which slide on(I have looked and like your Trina) and sneaker would you recommend for me? Thank you for the help
Asked by: Diann
Thank you for contacting KURU Footwear. We appreciate your interest in our KURU shoes! I am sorry to hear about your condition but I would be more that glad to help you out! All of our KURU shoes include the same supportive technology built into them so we do not have a shoe that is better than the other in terms of support. From what you have shared, I would recommend checking out the QUANTUM walking shoe as your sneaker and for a slide-on, I would recommend checking out the KIVI shoe style. These two styles are great for walking and traveling, they are also very popular among customers.
