My Kuru shoes squeak, what can I do?

If your shoes are making noise, this may be due to to moisture that has accumulated in the footbed from wear or due to friction of the sockliner insole rubbing against the foam midsole. This squeaking, although audible, does not affect the performance of the product.

Our shoes use a space-age foam designed to wick moisture so your feet remain dry and comfortable. Sometimes, excess moisture can accumulate, especially if your foot tends to sweat a lot. Fortunately, there are some suggestions that may remedy this noise:

  1. Dry Your Insoles Between Wear - Make sure to remove and air dry your insoles to let any absorbed moisture to dry out. In addition, you can apply a light layer of talcum powder to the bottom to help absorb moisture.
  2. Re-Align the Insole - Sometimes the insole may have slipped up to one side of the footbed. Re-align the insole to ensure it is centered over the top of the midsole footbed.

If you have tried everything possible and feel like your shoes are defective, it may be covered by our 100% Warranty Policy. Simply submit a warranty request and we will do our best to make things right and win back your business.
