I am a server, so I am on my feet all day. According to my fitbit, I walk about 14,000-16,000 steps in a typical 8 hr shift. I have extremely flat feet along with plantar fasciitis and morton's neuroma- so by the end of every night I could barely limp to my car.
I tried these shoes- no orthotic inserts or anything- for the first time during a 13 hour shift on an extremely busy Saturday. The difference was night and day. Somehow the toe box was roomy and cushioned enough not to aggravate my neuroma while still offering enough arch and heel support. The leather was fairly waterproof and the shoe didn't have that bulky "'orthopedic" aesthetic that a lot of supportive shoes have. Continued wear of these shoes has also helped with my over pronation because there has been a lessening of the lower back and hip pain that I get when I do a lot of walking.
I do wish these shoes were a little more slip resistant, but keep in mind that I work in a restaurant so I am using them in more "extreme" conditions than most other people. I also bought this colorway because I anticipated how dirty my shoes would get at work, even though it is not exactly to my taste. The other colorways of this shoe, though, are really cute and I'm currently saving up to buy a more colorful pair to wear as everyday running around shoes.
