Insight fits wide footI have a wide foot; wide enough that I always get a men's tennis shoe just for toe-box comfort. After reading all I could on your site, I ordered the black/peuter Insight shoe since the foot last is also used for men's shoes and IT FITS perfectly. I wear between an 8-1/2 and a 9 woman's size; since this shoe runs large, I got the 8-1/2 and there is plenty of room. |

Best Shoe Ever - Saved Me From Surgery For Plantar FasciitisWOW!! What a top-notch company to work with. So many companies spin things about their product that turns out to be false, so I've learned to research, research, research. I have been dealing with severe Plantar Fasciitis off and on for several years. I have the big old knee high boot from the podiatrist; have had many injections, etc. This latest bout, however, has lasted 4 months. Nothing worked! I was almost resigned to the idea that I would have to have surgery if I was ever going to resume a normal life. Then I sat down at the computer, and after some time, I found the website for KURU SHOES. I was very impressed with the website and how thoroughly they explained about their shoes. I totally got how the anatomical design of the shoe made it perfect for your foot. Your information on Plantar Fasciitis was spot on! I am going to refer your company to my podiatrist and anyone who will listen. Thank you for your product and the research that went into it. |

SO WORTH ITFor so long I've been searching for a shoe like this. One day I came across KURU FOOTWEAR websit when I was googling for platar fascitiis remedies. I thought I'd give them a try since I've tried other shoes for the same problem. These shoes are exactly what I was looking for. Long hours support and comfortability. My job requires me to be on my feet for a 12 hour shift (minus breaks) and these shoes fit the bill. I am so glad and thankful for these shoes. Thats why they are so worth the money! :) |

heavy shoeI ordered half size larger cause I wear thick socks. Nice wide foot bed. it did seem to have a dropped heel which I know works for plantar faciitis because the only thing I usually wear is Birkenstocks. The only problem with it is this shoe is heavy and clunky. It seemed to make my feet tired right away from the weight. Otherwise nice shoe. Might be really good for someone who is already in shape. I'm not. |

It's OK, still have my plantar fasciitis thoughI was hoping this shoe would really help my plantar fasciitis. When I walk in them the pain is bearable, but immediately after I take them off, the pain flares up again. I have the same experience with my custom orthotics. |

Average shoe...great for supportI ordered a pair of these because I also have a pair of the "Drafts" and absolutely love them. I wanted these for warmer weather. As I have worn them for a week now, they offer average support, (on the bottom) which I need for my arthritis. But they still have some breaking in to do! They rub against the top of my foot/ankle, so I keep the strings pretty loose, otherwise they are painful. They are very big and boxy looking, so if you're looking for fashion these are not the ticket. They are not as cushioned as other shoes I have had, but hoping they'll break in and mold to my feet soon. I will wear them when I have long days of work planned, but for just kicking around I would like something a little more sporty and light. I think your company should try a sandal for summer season! |

Not helpingWhen I ordered this shoe, in the shoe description, it stated that the Turkish Brown style was running true to size. I did not find this to be true when mine arrived. They are very generous in the toe and are about 1 half size too large, perhaps even a whole size too large. This could be one of the reasons I am having so much trouble with the shoes. Or not. I have an extremely high arch, added to my plantar facaitis. Now the arch in this Kuru is VERY high, which I thought would be a great thing. But after two days of standing on my feet on a concrete floor, at 13 hours each day, I noticed that this Kuru's arch was so very high, that it was throwing my feet off; by pushing my stance off kelter and having me standing mostly on the outside edges of both feet. Giving me a feeling of a 'bowlegged' effect. As far as having any effect on the plantar facaitis of my left foot...there has been no change in the pain, and one day while in these Kuru's, the pain was to the point of my wishing to cry and pull these Kuru's off and throw them away, IF I had of only taken another pair of shoes to work with me, I may have done just that. They are very very ugly shoes. They look cheaply made. The toe of the right shoe has a small sewn flaw. Hardly noticable, but for the price I paid, it should not be flawed at all. But I paid for them and now I suppose I will alternate them with my other walking shoes, I was wearing before, I THOUGHT I had discovered a great shoe. Should have remembered "IF it sounds too good to be true...then perhaps it is" I was so hoping to be able to come to the Kuru site and give a wonderful review, as I was actually excited at the thought that some shoe out there would take this horrid pain away from the plantar facaitis...this shoe did not do that for me......I just suppose Kuru's are not for me |

Would this insight shoe be equivalent to a tennis walking shoe?
- This shoe is perfect as a walking shoe. Much like other sneakers, it has action leather for reliable performance and ease of cleaning. In addition, the black comes with sporty, reinforced canvas on the tongue and forefoot for more flexibility and breathability. The White and Turkish Brown versions are leather.

I have a wide, womens size 11 foot. But I didn't see wide widths shoes. If someone can help me and tell me if you have them. Thank You
- Many of our customers have reported that the Insight accommodates wider feet. This is why the Insight is recommended for those with wide feet. It's still built on a medium width last, but due to its unique design, it does fit many a wide foot. We do offer Free exchanges to help you get the right size. Remember, too, that as long as the shoes are new, you can return them if you find that they don't fit your feet.

I have an abnormally high in-step....do these have a high arch to support this?
- The Insight has a lace up design which should allow adaptability for higher insteps and arches. When you get your shoes, completely loosen the laces prior to putting the shoes on. Then, slide your foot in and adjust the laces to your instep height. The arch support on the footbed is designed to match up to a medium height arch. However, once the footbed molds to your foot, it will provide some level support for a higher arch.

Do your shoes work alright for tennis? I play about 3 times a week on hard courts.
- Our shoes are designed to be casual active shoes. Many of our customers play sports in our shoes, but that's not primarily how the shoes are designed to perform. If you want to try one of our shoes for tennis, I'd recommend the Chicane Black with Gum Rubber. It's full leather and the gum rubber should give good traction on the court.

I wear a size 7 shoe, your insight shoe says it's 1/2 size big which I understand to say I should order 61/2, but I don't see that I can do that. Do you not have a 61/2?
- You are correct, you would want to order a size 6.5 given that it runs large. Currently, we only have the Turkish Brown color Insight in size 6.5. We are sold out of size 6.5 in the Black and White colorways.

I will be on my feet working 12hr shifts at a hospital and would like to know if the sole is soft or hard. I know they have support and some shoes that have that great support have a hard sole? Also will you be making any non slip shoes future?
-
I would classify the sole hardness as medium hardness. When you first get your shoes, they will definitely feel a little stiffer than a traditional running or walking shoe. However, as you wear them and as they mold to your foot, they are designed to soften and get much more flexible.
You mentioned that you are on your feet for 12hr shifts. We recommend wearing the shoes a few hours each day for the first week or two to allow the shoes time to mold to your feet while also allowing your feet to adapt to the support. During this process, they should soften up a tad and get a lot more comfortable as they become uniquely yours.
