wish they made some more & watch sizeI ordered 2 different shoes, this pair (orange Draft) and the black sneaker one, called Insight. I ordered both larger since the recommendation said to, but they both are too big. I see some people say they run small, and I can't see how that could happen. I returned the Insight pair, they were just too enormous for me to keep. I kept these, the Draft, (my feet were in such pain) and since they are a slip on and I can wear them. But they look big on my feel, feel big on my fit, and, while I wear them all the time because my feet were killing me from plantar f*, I wish I had a half size smaller. The only one I can get is in the same color and this hasen't changed since the fall. I hope Kuru is planning on making some new shoes!!!!! They are the best for my feet, and trust me, I have tried too many shoes! Please make more!!! But, if you are an ordering customer, I wouldn't suggest any bigger size than you normally purchase. |

Best help so farI am finally feeling that I might beat my Plantar fasciitis after more than half a year of major foot pain. I have done everything from wearing night splints, doing my stretches and excercises, icing, taping, cortisone injections, steroinds plus ultrasound, you name it. Only when I put these shoes on with Powerstep inserts in them did I feel true relief for the first time.Reading the other reviews made me want to try these shoes. I hope my review will help other people in their decision, too. |

Awesome Shoe - No PainI've had these shoes for just 5 days and have already noticed a difference. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and had a lot of pain upon standing. With these shoes the pain is almost gone. I can walk so much better and pain free. I love these shoes. I would like to buy more especially a solid black Draft but there isn't anything else in my size in the Draft. I'm going to try the Chicane in black. You won't be sorry for trying this shoe. MY HEEL PAIN IS 99% GONEThank you Kuru Shoes, finally my heel does not hurt. For me, your shoes worked when I added a green superfeet insert. I tried every shoe advertised for heel pain from zcoils to the top orthopedic walking shoe and nothing helped. I've done every stretch recommended and had injections to no avail. I started wearing your shoe pretty much 24 - 7 and have finally realized, my pain is about 99% gone. I am not sure if you recommend this, but I have washed mine several times in wash/dryer and they have held up fine. If ordering this shoe, I went up a full size because the shoe does run small and I needed the extra room for my insert. Only wish you had another color, my scrubs don't alway match green shoes, but if I have no pain, who cares. |

Great for a Teacher or a TravelerI ordered up 1/2 size larger than my usual size, and these fit perfectly. I am a teacher and wear my Kuru's in the classroom to lesson fatigue from standing all day. I also wore them all over Laos and Vietnam recently. I have had them for about 3 months and my only complaint is that on hot days, they make my feet super hot. I have to reluctantly switch to sandals on the hottest days. But for comfort these are fantastic, and the fact that they are water repellent has been a great asset several times! |

Not badI have been wearing Kuru's for a few months now. I love my chicanes, great shoe! I have plantar issues and these shoes have helped me greatly. I bought the draft to wear in warmer weather with shorts or capris. They are listed as being 1/2 size bigger so ordered a size down. They just fit, could have went with my normal size. I do not find them as good for my bad foot as the chicanes, I think the draft will be good for house shoes but not walking shoes.So wish Kuru would come out with a sport sandal!! |

Perfect for standing, no so great for walkingComfortable out of the box. I work in a busy medical office and when I stand, they are great. Walking around is not the same. Somehow my foot shifts and my bad heal gets sore. This does not happen in my Kuru lace ups with a back. |

Hello, I have high arches, are these supportive?
- The Drafts offer a great heel cup and good arch support. The arch support is designed for a medium height arch. But, as the footbed molds to your foot, it should better accommodate a higher arch. The only concern I'd have about the draft on high arches is the opening of the shoe is fixed. With a fixed opening, You may find it too tight to get your foot in.

I ordered a Chicane in an 11 and it seems to be a good length. If I ordered this style, would the 11 work? I actually usually wear a 10.5 in most shoes lately.

If the Chicane in a size 11 fits well, the Draft in 11 would be a good starting point. Unlike the Chicane, however, the Draft has a fixed opening, which means if you have a high instep/arch, you may find difficulty fitting into this shoe. You could go up 1/2 size to accommodate a high arch, but you may find that it becomes too long at that point.

Would orthotics fit in these shoes? What is the return policy?

Yes, custom orthotics will fit in KURU shoes. As long as the orthotic is rounded on the underside, it should fit in our shoes. The leather that wraps around the heel of the Draft should keep a low profile orthotic in place. Many of our customers have said when they wear their KURU shoes, they don't need to wear their orthotics. KURU offers that much comfort and support!
Our return policy allows you to return the shoes, in new condition, within 35 days of purchase date. If the shoes can not be sold as new, they are no longer eligible for return or exchange.
